20 Round Box XM855
Our Low Price: $34.59

Um... NO.

$35 for a $6 box of ammo? CTD (and other gougers) can go to hell.

Probably if they sell out their stock, they will cancel the orders and relist it at $45 a box

I just got a new CTD catalog in the mail today. It still has the pre panic pricing listed. I called the 1-800 number and asked to be removed from the mailing list. I explained that I didn't appreciate the huge price hikes and taking advantage of a bad situation. This is the same thing they did in 2008 when they were selling .380 for $50 a box.

No thanks. I can always find better deals somewhere else.

I spent the past 4 years "collecting" ammo just for this very reason. Now I sit back and smile knowing I'm not getting butt probed. I learnt my lesson well after the first barryscare. This time it's not just a scare...it's real, very real.

CTD makes Gander prices attractive...

Now if *that's* not an insult, I don't know what is.

A few days ago I bought a 1000 rnds of Federal for $499. Not stellar pricing but given the climate not that far out I guess. It was even from my LGS, and not Internet sourced. I felt the price fair enough because the ARs they were putting on the shelves at the time, while a bit inflated cost wise from a few weeks ago, were not much more expensive than before The Madness. IOW, it doesn't seem they are of the price gouger crowd.

Supporting a LGS that is not raping anyone is one thing and I would do so as well.

One LGS here is trying to sell PMags for $49.99...they will never get any more business from me.

Nasty: That may or may not be their fault. The check out girl also does ordering. We got to talking about how crazy it had got and she mentioned how their ammo supplier had told her of one of their customers calling up and ordering almost $5m worth of .223/5.56.

At her store the day of the shooting one guy came in and bought 150 Pmags, another bought 12,000 rnds of AR food. My guess is these guys were looking to do some flipping to make a buck. She was complaining how some of their suppliers had gotten crazy on their pricing. She didn't mention names and I didn't ask, but since their ARs and ammo seem to have stayed relatively reasonable and Pmags have jumped to $40 a pop, I'm going to guess whoever supplies those is one of them.

I've got 10 lbs of rifle powder, 4000 small rifle primers, and 1500 component bullets in .223, ready to load. I'll be good to go for a couple years.

CTD and everyone else can take their $20/box .223 ammo and shove it up their a**.

That is $35 not $20. I had to look to be sure.
