Stabbings Ceased by Gun Carrier

People often query about how many mass shootings are stopping by gun carriers (CCW or Open). There are few, though maybe more that were stopped before such shootings became mass shootings. However, here is a story about a multiple stabbing incident in Utah that was stopped by a gun carrier. It has the earmarks of a "mass stabbing" but the perp was stopped with just 2 people stabbed (4 being the number of "mass" according to DOJ). This appears to be a completely senseless act at this point in the sense that the stabber does not appear to have known the victims or does not appear to be affiliated with the store. He bought a knife, went to the entry area and started stabbing people.

When confronted by the gun carrying hero, the perp dropped his knife and was subdued physically by store employees.

I loved this comment. It is Monty Python silly.

Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon.

Ignorance not being funny I still laughed.

The article was surprisingly unbiased and a matter of the fact. Then I saw SLC and it clicked.

I thought it sounded familiar; its dated April 2012. Still a good example of lawful carry saving lives.
