If I were questioning it I would probably sell it. I like to have at least 10 magazines for an auto as they are easily damaged and with out them the gun is mostly useless. For that reason alone I would sell it and buy something I felt was more appropriate. If it was a family heirloom or had other sentimental value then that would be different...

I'd sell it.
Heck, the guy you gave it too didn't even want it enough to keep it. edited to add: If you're really on the fence just keep it and shoot it 'til it breaks. You can then sell it to Numrich so they can part out what's left.

I like shooting, so all my firearms have been used. So, no sense of keeping the one that will have no spare parts or can break easily. As a matter of fact, I sold (traded) my Firestar M43 in like new condition w/ only 200 rds though since bought new- probably will have another several thousand rounds before needing anything. My Ruger SR9c/ SR40c replaced it nicely and comfortably however.

I don't want a gun
Do you shoot it often or plan to use it only when needed? I don't want a gun that can't be fixed if broken. Unless it's a collector it will then be worth only it's scrap value. The selection of 9mm is fairly enormous so I would think that you could get something that suits your needs now and in the future. I liked my .38 snubby but I realized that I was spending more time shooting at the range than I thought I would. Finally traded it in for a .357 with adjustable sights and a longer barrel that has more versatility. I'm a very happy camper.
