Hornady's Steel Match ammo is a box of 50 for around $20.

Start reloading!

It is relatively expensive anywhere. http://www.natchezss.com/ammo.cfm?co...229&category=3 has some in stock but not especially cheap.

Privi-Partisan makes decent brass cased ammo. I've bought 22 Hornet and 30 carbine and have had good luck with it

wolf is about as cheap as I could guess it would get.

reloading is probably your only cheaper option.

CMP has it for $200/case of 500 rounds. I reload mine because I like to reload but I doubt I save that much over the CMP price.
