Fn fnx 45 mags

I am anticipating purchasing a fn fnx-45 tactical. It is my understanding this gun is out to the public, however it's hard to get presently. I am concerned hi cap mags will be banned before I can purchase the gun. I'd like to buy fnx 45 mags now before i get the gun.

Will fnx 45 mags fit in the fnx-45 tactical gun? Or are there unique mags needed for the tactical version?

Please advise

FNX45 and FNX45 Tactical mags are interchangeable except the Tactical mags have a different base so they have a 15rd capacity instead of 14.

Not to burst your bubble, I love my FN pistol.

I have the FNP 45 which would be the generation before yours. I have been waiting almost a year for the magazines to come off backorder. When they were available, they ran $50.00 or so per magazine.

Midway has a placeholder saying, "Coming soon expected to be available 1/31/2013." The odometer on the Midway listing for FNP 45 magazines rolled over. The original expected in date was 4/30/2012, it has now gone to 5/30/2013.

FN makes a great pistol, just be prepared to be frustrated by minimal aftermarket support and more magazines not always being available.

I second what Kilroy said. I too own an FNP45 and it is one great gun (very underrated IMO), however, finding extra mags can be difficult. Thank goodness the gun ships with 3. Hopefully they will hold you over until you can find some extras.
