Does the Springfield Range Officer use standard recoil springs?

Yes it does. Buy recoil springs for a Government 5" 1911 and you will be go to go. Know that there are different pound weight recoil springs for Government 1911s. Most will run with 16 to 18 pound springs. I do not know what is speced from the factory for the Range Officer.
