G21 10mm 22# spring
I put a 22# Wolff spring and rod in my G21 10mm conversion project and encountered FTE's about 1 in 10 (stovepipes) with BVAC 180gr, 100 rounds. All else is stock. I don't mind a break-in period but now I'm thinking 20# would be more appropriate. Thanks for opinions.

I don't have your answer. Here is a link to the 21 to 20
conversion part of a dedicated 10mm forum. There will be more info over on the Glocktalk forum, also. ![]() http://www.ar15armory.com/forums/Glo...oc-t44970.html |

A 22lb spring is overkill and will beat a slidelock into early submission.

^^ What AZAK said. The factory spring does work, I just don't want to catch a face-fulla-slide some day.
Thanks plouffe and all, lookin forward to my 20#. [Edit] 10mm4ever: Yeah, it was abusing the slide lock also. I've gotten into the habit of pulling the slide to reload a new mag, but still.... Last edited by AndyWest; December 5, 2012 at 08:17 PM. |

I run a #22 spring in my g20 with hot loads down to sub sonics and have no problems. The 20 came before the 21 and had a heavier slide, when glock built the 21 on the 20 frame they had to lighten the slide to get the weaker 45acp to function. I would stick with the heavier spring to keep the barrel locked up longer and look at your extractor instead.
Just my 2¢…
