Marlin 795 magazine disconnect question

I'm new to the forums so I apologize if this post is in the wrong place.

Lately I've been having some issues removing the magazine from my Marlin 795. When i inspected both magazines after my last range trip, i noticed that the magazine disconnect had worn a notch in the metal and was getting hung up, making it nearly impossible to remove the magazine.

Does anyone know a good solution for this?

I've read about people modifying or removing the magazine disconnect but I'm very reluctant to do either seeing as it was designed as a safety feature and it will also void the warranty.

Sounds like it's time for a new magazine latch.

15 bucks and 15 minutes with a screwdriver should fix it.

The magazine release seems to be working just fine. It's the magazine disconnect safety that keeps getting hung up on the magazine. There's a small metal tab that contacts the magazine near the top and it keeps getting stuck on the magazine.
