Canik and Girsan - Anyone have any experience?
In my search for a pistol, I've come across a few at budsgunshop that looked rather interesting. The video reviewed the Girsan 1911 guns very favorably.
Girsan: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/i...andguns/Girsan http://youtu.be/SQ9yxySP7Rk Canik: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...ndguns/Canik55 http://youtu.be/CT4zNAIDvKU The Canik guns seem to be CZ-75 clones, but I haven't heard anything about them. Appearance wise, they look great, but I don't know enough about guns. They're both made in Turkey. Any thoughts? |

There was a review of the Canik back in 2010 in American Handgunner here, and a more recent one in the December 2012 issue here. Handguns Magazine has one as well, here.

I have a Tristar C100 which is a lightweight compact 9 mm pistol made by Canik. It is very similar to the cZ75 Compact, but there are a number of differences. The C100 is an excellent pistol and I did a side by side comparision of it and the cZ compact on the cz forum. My C100 was purchase from Academy for $350. I like it so much that I am thinking about getting another or a Canik L120.
