Sig P220
I've not owned a Sig for years (had a single action P220) and decided it was time to purchase one again... let's see P220 pics!

Finest double action .45 extant. I prefer the internal extractor and folded slide, but to each his own.
Congrats. |

I want one of those darn things so much.
There's a TV show called The Glades that has some pretty sweet P220 gunfighting action in the second season.

P220 Match Elite
Got this gun around 2 months ago, and have around 400 rounds down range without any hiccups. By far my most accurate handgun (and expensive
) Since this gun has the 5 inch barrel and its made of all steel it has very mild recoil...I love the heft this P220 has!

After owning one for about seven years (and selling it) I don't see what the big deal is.

Here is mine...
Oh boy, pictures!!
![]() Here is my P220 Stainless Match Elite, with the stock aluminum grips, which are nice and thin, grip well, but are cold in the winter. And here it is with a set of Hogue rubber grips, which also work very well, and are warmer. These are a set of rosewood grips that really dress the pistol up, but they are noticeably "fatter" than the rubber or aluminum grips. I have slim hands with slightly long fingers, so I don't mind, but I could see it being an issue. Now to get slightly exotic, here is another P220 Stainless Match Elite of mine, but it has been converted to 10mm, re-finished in "SuperBlack", and wearing a set of Nill walnut grips! It's "badd"! ![]() I hope you liked the pictures! - Thomas |

Wow, Thomas....I might have to consider dressing my Match Elite with Rosewood grips, those look fantastic!!....Does Sig make a drop in for 10mm?, or did you have to do something special?

Hi Rupskin,
I paid Bruce Gray of Gray Guns gunsmithing to convert it to 10mm. He was running a program that he publicized in the SIGforum (http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/430601935) to convert full stainless SIG P220s to 10mm. I'm sure if you pay him enough, he'll do one for you!! If he has any barrels left over I guess. - Thomas |

Hello chrisintexas,
There is a thread about Bruce's conversion at the SIGforum I linked to, but I believe it's mostly a new barrel, special magazines and a few bits in the feeding and ignition parts. Just contact Gray Guns (http://grayguns.com/)and they can tell you much more, I'm sure! ![]() - Thomas |

Yes P220s are 8 +1 max as a flush fit and 10+1 with and extended mag.
