New Beretta 92FS Combat combo

Hey guys,

Picked up a firearm I put a deposit on a few months ago, a brand new Beretta 92FS Combat Combo

While I already own a standard Inox and Vertec Inox as well as a 92FS Competition/Target model I've never really been a huge fan of Beretta's.

With the Combat that's all changed.

I really like the heavier brigadier slide, SAO trigger, barrel bushing, and frame mounted safety of the Combat and for me it is by far the best Beretta I've handled

Wow!

Now that I like.

Are they going to carry over the safety to standard production?

That would be so cool!

Is it a decock lever as well as a safety?

That was the one thing that I really liked about the Taurus PT92 that I had over the couple of Berettas that I had at the same time.

Now if they would just do that in a compact model.

The Combat model is single action only so its just a safety, no decocker.
Its actually a discontinued model though some other models like the Steel I do have the frame mounted safety.

Crap.

I was really hoping this would lead to a compact sized, DA/SA, frame mounted safety/decocker model.

Are you listening Beretta?!?!?

Make something to CRUSH the plastic competition.

Run HK out of their own market niche.

They could make a USPc type gun with a lower price, better trigger and superior feel.

WHY WON'T YOU MAKE THIS?!

YOU DAMNED DIRTY APES!

What a great looking gun! Cogratulations, I am sure it will perform fantastic. I have always loved the look of the 92, and I think this one takes the cake!

An extremely handsome looking package.

And with a user name of 'Berettaprofessor' you'd have to understand his sentiment.

BTW I've always wanted a Beretta 92 type handgun myself.

Enjoy in moderation.

^^^ ME TOO! ^^^

Just beautiful.

Went to Beretta's site and checked out the Combat 'short' series. Looks very interesting with the safety on the frame.

Hey, you need to do a 92 family picture like Shipwrecks "Wheel-O-92s".

Boast All You Like.

But I do have a question if you please. What is that do-hickie on the muzzel of that Combat Beretta? Is that a bayonet lug?

I had assumed it's a compensator, but it's hard to tell without an overhead photo.

So it's kind of like the barrel extender on the old H&K P9 series?
