S&W rifle scope????????

I have a beautiful Smith and Wesson .243 rifle, with an S&W 6x24 scope that is labeled S&W, marked made in Japan. The action is a Husqvarna 1900, but I have no idea who may have made the scope. Any help out there?
Thanks.
Mickey

IIRC, Hakko made S&W branded scopes in the 70's.

Thanks to Petah

Thanks for the info. That's about how old the gun is.
