Westernfield model 550 cd??

My local shop has one of these in 20 gauge for $139. I've been looking for a hunting shotgun, this seems to be a nice one. My question is, I understand Mossberg made these and they are based on the Mossberg 500. Would parts be interchangeable if the need ever arose?

Yep.

Just remember - Most parts are gauge specific.

I have been building an old westerfield 16 ga into a tactical shot gun and so far mossberg parts fit. My tactical stock should be here tomarrow, so hopefully that fits. All the internals are mossberg 500. A mossberg 500 side sadle scope mount will fit on a westernfield 550. The receivers are the same, pretty much a mongumery ward verson of a mossberg 500.
