S&W Model 36 ?

I am trying to determine the value of my model 36, no dash. I was thinking of selling and want to get what it's worth. It" a square butt w/ diamond grips, 2" pinned barrel and flat latch. I have shot it and it shoots great. I believe it is a late 50s model. Serial # 185xxx. Any Smith aficionadoes out there?

What is its condition ? Any pictures ? Do you have the original box and papers ?

an average shooter grade will bring around $300

Around here it would bring closer to 400.00

I paid around $400 for the exact same model.

There are some blimishes and no box or papers. I wouldn't even know how to judge the % condition, but I do know that there is no holster wear, the bore is bright and shiny and none of the cylinber bores appear to be bulgded or otherwise degraded. There is a small area of what appears to be pitting on the backside of the trigger guard and and a area of pitting on the bottom of the butt frame smaller than one of the SN digits. As well the standard cylinder ring.

Mines a 36-2 and I qualified with it today for off-duty and backup. Nice little gun.

But mine's shineyer being nickel.

Where I live $350 would be a fair price.

$300 to $350 for a shooter grade. I paid $125 for a 36 no dash 1 7/8 inch barrel.
All the bluing was gone and minor rust on the exterior. Revolver shoots great.
Bottom line: While they are good small revolvers they are not worth that much. Most guns shops are crazy. I seen prizes at $400 to $500.

I bought a model 37 air weight at a local gun shop for 400.00. It is in pristine condition, looks like it was a safe queen but no box or papers with it.That being said you can buy a brand new in the box snub 38 air weight for 40.00 more. But I wanted a blue/black gun. I don't care for a SS, nickle plated or aluminum finish gun. Thats just my feelings.
