Question on two red dots for Mini 14

need your opinion on two red dot scopes for a Ruger mini 14.
I will be using the mini 14 for target practice. Which one in your opinion
would be the best one and will they fit on the Mini 14?
Thank for your feedback

Spend a little more for this one. Well worth the extra money.

If it is a standard model you will have more problems. If the raanch rifle you will probably have to buy a rail. Neither are good options.

I gave up on Mini's a long time ago and am not as aware of aftermarket options for them as I used to be. Mounting optics on them used to be a much more challenging than on flat top AR's.

I just purchased the TRS25(on sale for $80) to replace A cheap scope that served me well until I dropped it. I have not mounted the new scope.

OK it looks like the Bushnell red dot comes with the Built in mount for Weaver-style rail , and the Ruger mini 14 stock comes with One seven-inch and two two-inch Picatinny rails .

Now, what does this mean to you? Boiled down, it means that accessories designed for a Weaver system will, in most cases, fit on a “Picatinny” system. The reverse, however, is probably not the case. Due to the larger recoil groove, “Picatinny” accessories will not fit a Weaver system. There are, of course, exceptions to every rule, but for a good rule-of-thumb, “Picatinny” won’t fit Weaver, but Weaver will fit “Picatinny
Hum

If the optic will mount to the rifle . It's just a matter of preference.

A buddy of mine has been very happy with an UltiMAK for mounting an Eotech on his mini 14. It's been rock solid for over several years and a few thousand rounds.

Also, I would second the previous Bushnell TRS-25 recommendation. I've had one for two plus years. For the money it's a great red dot. Mine currently resides on a converted 7.62x39 Saiga.
