How long does the course usaully last?

No clue since I never had to have that specific class. Prior qualifications took precedence in my case.

My previous qual was OK too -- I do not know about current classes - but - If I was going to have a family member take the course I'd want to meet the instructor first, see their curriculum and speak to a former student or 2. Any place that denies you those items are not worth your money. IMHO

Hampton Roads? NOVA? Richmond? I just took my wife and some friends to a class and it lasted 4 hours... If you say where you are looking I could give some recommendations.
