Springfield XD-S
I've been shooting my XD-S for about a month now and have had the opportunity to put 1000 rounds of various types of ammo through it. Here's a review of my experiences with the small .45 ACP pistol offered by Springfield.

good video, just picked one of these up myselfup. I noticed you mentioned the SWC's . What COL were you using ? I tried them in my XDs and found they tended to bind in the magzine if I loaded 3 or more. They chambered ok and shot but I had to limit them to 2 at a time.
I mentioned a front sight issue in my thread. The front sight on mine seems to be about 1/16th of a inch high which causes me to shoot very low when I use the sights even using a POI aim. Do you shoot POI or 6 o'clock with yours?

I will have to measure the length of my SWC reloads, I can't recall off the top of my head (I use a Dillion 650 dedicated to that load which I haven't adjusted in years).
I have been able to get 7 rounds into my extended mag and I can easily get 5 rounds into the standard mag with my SWC's. I shoot with a dead hold, I don't do the 6 o'clock hold. I cut the target in half and on man sized targets I shoot COM. |
