trying to simulate adrenaline effects while shooting, any ideas
It was an idea my cousin and I came up with, we tried taking our atvs on a hard ride out to the field where we shoot. It got the adrenaline going good which did effect our performance, riding like that is dangerous. Anybody got ideas that are less dangerous?

My buddies and I will set up 3 tables, 40 yards apart. We'll start at the first table, shoot, sprint 40 yards to the next table and repeat.
Not exactly adrenaline rush, but the sprints get your heart rate and breathing rate up so it feels like an adrenaline rush. |

Competitive shooting will create some stress, particularly if you are in it to win it.
Practicing live weapon transition drills create stress, but for good reason, they are dangerous. Learning new tactics will create some stress IMO. I prefer outdoor ranges where you can more duplicate the way you would react in an actual gunfight. One simple example is reloading from an emptied pistol. At an outdoor range, I hit the button the mag drops out on the ground, slap, rack and fire. Try that at an indoor range and invariably your empty mag will end up down range.

How about an over the counter supplement like a fat burner. I'm sure all those stimulants would cause an adrenaline spike.

Call places that rent exotic wildlife for extravagant parties. Being chased by a lion would get your adrenalin pumping.

Go Hunting!!! I've never shot a deer without my heart just about beating out of my chest..
Also, an EpiPen (for bee stings) would definitely get your blood pumping. Although its usually a bad idea to combine medication with firearms

Join the Marines or Army in the combat field. Then you get to practice in a stressful situation all the time, say you did something postive in your life, and accumlate experience and knowledge.

Heck I almost got a heart attack from even thinking of using a revolver in IPSC .(Please note that this perspective comes from experience with the Canadian competitive shooting sports not the American ones). |

Amyl nitrite?
I'm kidding. A real good jog is probably the best you'll get. Maybe put $100 bucks up for the best shot. I don't know if a chunk of change gets your heart going. Official competition is probably healthier. |

I feel more stress at work if a production line goes down, which costs several hundred dollars a minute. I'm one the people responsible for keeping it running, the key is to maintain control of your emotions (don't panic).

I boost my energy level by asking people to throw dynamite near me while practicing. I know, it's kind of dangerous, but...seems to work well.

Having someone whack you across the calves with a boat paddle every time you miss should produce some stress I'd think

Oh jeez, a thread like this is just asking for a plethora of ridiculous answers. Safest way is probably just pumping out some push -ups or running to a table. I think you are just wanting to get your heart rate up for training in stressful situations?
