S&W Model 41
Picked this up yesterday.
Time to burn up a few bricks of ammo.

It's a beautiful pistol and you will love it. I have one that I bought about 50 years ago. Two years ago I returned it to S&W for a rebuild and they did a beautiful job on it. When I was on the phone with their gunsmith I asked him about the best ammo for this pistol. He said that S&W only recommends CCI Standard and that is what I have been using ever since.

I've owned many S&W's over a lot of years, but this is my first 41. Not sure why it took me this long. I guess my Ruger 22's kept me occupied at a cheaper price.
I'm looking forward to shooting it. The weight of it, should be perfect for some standard velocity 22 fodder. Can't see the muzzle rising much at all.

It's not an oldie. It's from 2006. But it sure seems to be very well made, and the bluing is almost "old school". Bluer than my pic shows.

My older model 41 is not only my most accurate 22 caliber semi auto...its my most accurate pistol period ! Very easy to keep on target in slow or rapid fire , excellent trigger , and just plain fun to shoot ! I mostly feed it Federal gold medal ammo with good results.....its one of those guns I'll never sell !

It's a beaut. take good care of the piece, n hava a blast shooting cheap ammo for countless hours
![]() I love my Ruger, but understand the model 41 to be in a par of it's own (crisp trigger/ superb accuracy/ over-all feel n weight!) |

Beautiful pistol, Snub; it's the most accurate .22 lr hand gun that I own. You'll really like it if you go in for the old NRA 50' bullseye competitions. Good sights, great trigger and an excellent pair of stocks that fit my hand...what more could you ask for? IF you carry it afield, be careful of the holster you choose, that mag release button can and will drop the mag when you least expect it...I've lost two mags that way. Rod
