Ruger .357 Magnum Redhawk 5.5" SS
Im new to this forum. I just purchased a Ruger .357 Magnum Redhawk 5.5" SS. Does anyone here have any idea on its value? Its a 9 out of 10 condition. I payed $400 and im wondering if its a decent price to pay. Either way im keeping it just wondering on the price paid/value. Thanks for any info.

Good deal
Very hard to find one indeed and about anything Ruger here bigger than a 22 sells for that much.

The 357 Redhawk is a very rare bird and no longer made. $500 is a great price. It is at about $200 less than I have ever seen one

Outstanding handgun, but heavy.
No stronger 357 made. If you like to,play with heavy bullets (180-200gr) that's THE gun to use. |

I passed one up at a gun show a few years back and have been kicking myself ever since. It was marked $350 and odds are I could have talked the guy down a little. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
![]() $400 is a good deal assuming it's in good condition, especially with today's prices.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for asking our advice.
$400?
I would have jumped on that gun with both feet and kissed the seller on the mouth. (well, maybe) You got a GREAT gun for a terrific price. I believe there were only 5,000 of the 5.5" ever made. They are favorites for handloaders who want to push the power envelope and highly sought after. A bit heavy for everyday carry, but the 5.5" barrel makes for an easier carry than the 7.5" barrel. If you want to hunt wild pig with a handgun (up to a reasonable size limit), this is the cat's meow. Lost Sheep |

You STOLE it.
That is probably as close as you'll ever get to an indestructible .357 magnum. I had one for a couple of years when they first came out, but sold it to try some other dream. The shooting I did with it (I had the .41 and the .44 at that time) convinced me that I was actually shooting a .32 instead of the big, bad .357. All that steel really dampens the recoil. Very nice gun, at a ridiculously low price.

1)Yes, this Redhawk .357 is definately a keeper, in view of it still being NIB. Thanks for the compliment!
