I am entering a period of "melancholy" shall we say due to better left unsaid circumstances (shall we say) so I have turned my attention back to the utter beauty contained within this thread and my spirits have indeed improved accordingly.

Thanks to the posters and very Proud owners of such esthetically pleasing hardware (remarkable in that for me the artful aspect of the 1911 is such that I almost forget that its primary purpose is to throw lead downrange ). Not sure one could possibly find a bigger fan of the late, great JMB than yours truly! The more I read about Browning the more I respect, admire and simply marvel at his ingenious engineering achievements....

That Kobra Carry was just incredible. They ALL are. Heck you must have around $25k just in 1911's alone!
