So i started a warrenty repair request tonight for my m&p9c .... I have had it since June and really like it , but so far after every range session the front sight has drifted left from recoil. This just won't due.

I wouldn't send a gun back for something as simple as a drifting front sight. Have em send you a new sight and knock the old one out with a non marring punch and hammer.

I hope you just sent the slide and not the entire gun over night?

I haven't shipped anything yet..... just filled out paperwork online. I would just fix it my self, but after drifting the sight back 3 times now , I want them to fix it .
I am waiting to hear what they want me to ship. I might call them and up grade to night sights? We will see. Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk 2 |

S&W customer service is the best! I've used them twice - once for a secondhand M&P 9C that was locking the slide back before the mag was empty and again just a month ago to send back a new Shield in 40S&W that was dropping the mag on the first 2 shots loaded 7 + 1.
Customer Service acknowledged both were known issues and to send it in. CS was extremely courteous, professional, and prompt. I had the gun back both times in less than 2 weeks from the day I dropped it off at FedEx using S&W's prepaid shipping label. In the first instance S&W's gunsmith even called me to tell me what he found and was doing to correct the problem, plus had touched up the trigger to correct a creep issue I had also mentioned on the note sent in with the gun! I'm in no way affiliated with S&W or the shooting sports industry - just an average enthusiast like most others on the forum. So, this is an unbiased opinion when I say my experience with their CS made me a customer for life. Last edited by fieldcoordinator; September 17, 2012 at 10:20 PM. |

Their CS is awesome.
That said, have you tried a little blue locktite?

Not too bad. That's why I love Smith&Wesson's customer service and warranty. At least you know if anything goes wrong that S&W has your back. They're firearms are awesome too.
Unfortunately the M&P pistols are known to have this issue with the front sights. Its one of the only downsides of the M&P. I'll take that over other mechanical issues anyday! |

Post an update after you take it out shooting again. I have zero doubts that your issue will be fixed however.

Well I looked her over .... the included letter just said replaced front sight. Looks centered and feels secure, but I won't get to shoot her for a week or so .... getting married next weekend and this weekend is booked .
