Need an ID on this SxS I bought
1st Post!
I bought what I thought was a Stevens 311 at auction, now its looking like I got a Stevens 311 barrel and who knows what receiver! Receiver: no markings except Serial and GT 18 on the inside Barrel: series h (60) SP9 and a J stamped on the barrel top and 18 GT looks poorly stamped on the bottom. Any help is much appreciated! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks for the post.
I was unsure it was a Stevens receiver since their aren't any markings or date stamps. |

doesnt it look likethat when the barrel is instaled and the gun is closed up, that there is a small gap between the top layer of the barrel and the top of the reciever, a profile picture of that area would be better,
im just thinking that stevens put better attention to make that a nice smooth even transistion on all models they sold. |

Looks like a mid to late 1970s 311 to me, receiver, wood and all. There's one that looks pretty much like it in the safe here, but considerably more worn...

Definately a 311 but I agree on the reciever/barrel lock up. At first I thought it might be a 12 ga reciever with 20 ga barrels but I see the barrels are marked 12. Maybe it's just the angle.
