Springfield XDS; does anyone own one?
Any input? Has anyone shot one? I have read all the reviews and handled one at the shop, but there are none around for rent. I am sorely tempted, but hate to buy something I have not shot.

I had one. Its an amazing little gun if you get one that works well. I sold it, after having some soft strikes. SA seems to have great CS. I'm gonna wait another year or too, so they can work the issues out, before I buy one again. Its definitely a gun that I want for ccw. It shoots good, looks good, conceals good, its a very nice gun, unfortunately I got a lemon.

I really want one. I carry a S&W Bodyguard .380 and while its a fine gun I would like a large caliber and a better trigger.
Plus I convinced my self that a grip safety is better then manual safety. |

I just bought one yesterday I haven't shot it yet, but I heard great things about it most stores around me cant keep them in. I got lucky and just happened to be standing there when the gun store guy just checked it in and put it on the shelf. It fits in my pocket nice and doesn't print you cant even tell its in there.

The shop had two last Monday, a blued one and a stainless slide model. I may go see if they still have them.

Update: I just got back from shooting it I put about 100rds thru it with no malfunctions of any kind and it shoots pretty good I threw some red potatoes on the ground from around 10-25yds and had no problem hitting most of them.

Almost 500 rounds through mine. Works great. Shoot it clean and dirty without any problems. This pistol isn't for everyone. Some did have problems but I think a lot came from improper grip and limp wristing. Just my 2 cents. I let my sis-in-law shoot it. She never fired a gun in her life. No stove pipes or jams of any kind. If you can get one you won't be sorry.

I had one,no problems with it, shot great but I just don't like small guns so I traded for an XDM 40 4.5, another great gun, ended up getting the .45 also.
I plan on getting the 5.25 9mm sometime soon. |
