Remington-Bushmaster-DPMS 308 ARs
I'm thinking about getting a 308 in an AR platform, and I know they're not universal like AR-15s. (please don’t go on an Armalite purist rant) Obviously, the idea of a 308 AR that is compatible with other brands of 308 ARs is an attractive idea. With Remington, Bushmaster, and DPMS all owned by Freedom Group, is family largely compatible? Also in general, what 308 AR parts are universal, and where must/do companies differ?
