Colt Delta Gold Cup?

How I can I find out how old a Colt Delta Gold Cup in 10MM (is there any other kind?) is? And what is it worth? I really don't know anything about Colt's, let alone a Delta Gold Cup. Thanks!

All Delta Gold Cups are 10mm. You should be able to call Colt, provide the serial number, and they'll tell you when it was made. In minty condition, they're worth $1500 or more.

there is a local gun shop here that has a mint one for 950.00, box, screw driver, bushing wrench and paper work included. I have it on lay away and will be picking it up the end of the month.

With the box, papers, and no idiot scratch (very common, from improper reassembly), $1450 is a good deal. $950 is robbery!

Here in western WA, I'd expect to see a plain-jane Delta Elite tagged $950.

No. Not me, my boss bought one. He asked me what I know about the Colt Delta. I said I really don't know anything about 1911's or Colts. He paid 800$. I said 800 for a Colt anything is good, I think. It looks ok. Has that scratch right above the trigger. Colt does not make those Delta's, right? So I think he did ok on that deal. I mean I paid 850 for a S&W 310 revolver. Has anybody noted that firearms are expensive? Thanks guys!

Gotta be more specific. Regular Delta Elite of Delta Gold Cup. Colt still produces the Elite. $800 would be an average price for an Elite. That price for a Delta Gold Cup would be a steal. The Elite will be a standard government design gun and the Gold Cup will be a match grade gun with adjustable rear sight.

Ya, its a Gold Cup. I have never seen or even heard of a `Gold Cup', till he got it. I have seen Delta Elites before. And it has the adjustable rear sight. Thanks!
