shooting glasses
what do you guys use for shooting glasses? I ask because I was wondering if it was acceptable to use traditional sunglasses, or do shooting glasses have to be of a particular make/type? Some of the ones i've seen through Orvis are labeled bullet-proof, but there are plenty of inexpensive plastic shooting glasses on the market. If I were to go to the range and show up with sunglasses would they allow me to use them, or would they make me use the garden variety glasses I see at gun shops?

I look for VO tested. I like my Uvex Genesis glasses which are VO and ANSI tested. Be careful....many are ANSI only. VO is an impact test which is similar to a ricochet or gun explosion hitting you in the eye. That is why I like that spec. The lens seems thicker on those.
Btw, they probably allow anything... |
