Xd 22 conversion kits when ?

Does any body know if there is a 22 conversion kit coming out from any maker for the XD9

I asked this a few weeks back and got a blank stare from the internet.

then I asked it on XDtalk.com and got a couple snide remarks, apparently the lack of a 22lr XD is becoming a sore issue over there.

then I went straight to a number of the companies that specialize in XD mods including springfield themselves. many did not respond but powder river precision let me know that they aren't working on one and springfield said that for the time being there is no plans for one but that with enough demand, they might pitch the idea to HSP(the whole reason the XD-s came about) and that they would forward the suggestion to R&D.

so for now, no there are no makers of an XD22, XDM22, XD-s22 or conversion kit for any of them but if enough people whine to springfield we might eventually get one.

Thanks for the info . I guess I better start bothering some makers about this . I think we all should . Lets get one made .

I have a vague recollection that one was shown at SHOT show years ago. Apparently it never materialized.
