Nothing they can do, its "mil spec" but thats okay, its not like I bought a $1000 colt or $1000 springfield and I got this overhang. This is just my first 1911 and its not a big deal for a bit of overhang.

If you don't feel safe doing so..Don't shoot it.


Maybe the first magazine should be shot without your face in front of the gun?

No its safe, I read up on slide over hang on other 1911's. It just for looks.

I saw a Springfield Loaded Stainless NM serial numbered yesterday that had more overhang than that. The Range Officer right beside it lined up perfect.
