Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater Die question
Any reason their .308 Winchester bullet seating die can't be used to seat 30-06 also? And what is your opinion of this seating die?

The full case body and bullet alignment sleeve is cartridge specific, using it for something it's not made for would defeat the value of a very excellant seater die. I have one for both .308 and .30-06 and haven't even considered using one for the other. You should understand that micrometer heads are user convienences only, they add exactly nothing to the quality of work you can do with it. My first two have the mic heads, the next five don't. |

Thanks Wicchester. I've ordered one for .308 and one for .223. The reason I inquired about 308/30-06 is they are out of the 06. They had a closeout on Riding in 06 (only had 1 left) so I got it.
Thanks for the info. I've been doing a lot of load development (just playing) and decided it was time for some persision equipment to help make things a little more precise. Jerry
