Unique Gas Block
New guy looking for a little info.
I have a Colt HBar Elite 24 inch SS barrel, chambered 5.56 Nato 1 in 9 twist. It has a rather unique gas block, the likes of which I and anybody else seems to have never seen before. Local gun shops and gunsmiths have no idea. I've attached pics and would greatly appreciate information that can be provided if someone has any knowledge they can share. Thanks |

Interesting. At first, I though it was a Yankee Hill Machine (wouldn't that be a funny coincidence
), but it's not. The unique reverse taper leads me to believe that it might be modified aftermarket, or a custom... one of a kind item.Either way, it's kinda stylish. Cheers, C

Forgot to add I bought the complete Colt upper used, somewhere around 11 to 12 years ago. Have sent pics to Colt, never heard anything.

A one off custom. May have started as a regular FGB and machined down and converted to a clamp on style. Nice work.
