A good, affordable pair of eye protection

Man I know I would wear eye protection wayyyy more if they didnt suck. Thing is its gonna hurt to spend $80, at the same time it hurts to wear crummy glasses. I hear that getting brass/ricochet/whatever blasted into ones eye also hurts.

can anyone recommend a decent affordable pair?

Try the UVEX Genesis model. They are rated ANSI Z87.1-2003 (High Impact) and military V0 ballistic impact test. They protect against impact energies 7x
higher than ANSI requirements which means that they should stop a 22LR bullet fired from 50 feet (not that I would ever want to test that!) and could set you back about $10+/-.
I use them at work and when shooting and after I have had them on for a while I forget I have them on, they are quite comfortable. They are available with different color lens and and with different treatments such as anti-fog.

Lots and lots... and lots of threads on glasses. In fact, 76 threads with "shooting glasses" in the title, and 41 with "eye protection".
The advanced search is your bestest bud.

Cheers,
C
