New suppressor line from ASA: .223 and .308 cans

I don't normally talk about ASA on here unless someone asks me about our econo cans or something but I thought some people on the forum might be interested in this. We are about to launch our new line of suppressors and we went out today to do some testing. I do all the film work and editing so basically I'm showing you what i did at work today.

We tested them on two m-16s, an Ar-10, and my H&R .223 brake action.

We had a DB meter with us and the results were impressive. Hope you like the video.

You may need to check your link. I'm not getting any video, just a "sorry about that" screen from you-tube.

If you want to be taken seriously you will never show a Radio Shack DB meter again.

It's better than nothing. It was more grab what you can jump in the car and go. You hear the difference anyway. Eventually we will take out the good db meater but that one is good enough for a YouTube video.

Not when you are claiming greater than 70 db reduction with standard velocity .308 and more than 80 db with .223. That isn't close enough for for a serious manufacturer, making a promotional video, even when screwing around.

While Youtube videos to show silencer performance is a joke, just like a Radio Shack DB meter, we agree on that. Performance claims of a data nature need to be backed up by the industry std. Military Spec equipment and process.

If you can't do that then don't make any claims.

What David said is spot on. The folks that are interested in the db reduction of a silencer are never amused by readings from crappy equipment or incorrect testing procedures.

That aside, what are the cans made of? Length? Weight?
