Another warhorse finds a home

Picked this up today at a pawnshop of all places. Went in to look for a generator and walked out with a springfield born in Nov43. Its in good shape and is all springfield except for gas plug being H&R. I plan to remedy that as my H&R currently sports a springfield gas plug. The ME was 1 and the TE was 2 so she should be a fine shooter. Hope to get her to the range real soon.

Nice find. The garand is as American as a hamburger and coke.
