Post your Mounts

Since deer season will be upon us before we know it. How about posting your trophies, they do not have to be just of deer.
The one of the left shot by my then 11yr old in 2008, this was his first hunt and first deer. 260lbs.(he is still grounded.) On the right my first Buck shot in 2006. I know there are far bigger deer, but being able to hunt with my family there just not any words. I know people say this all the time, but my wife is my best friend. We have been married for 27 years and to have someone to share the same interest as you is priceless. My son's, we also have a 26yr old lets just say....I don't deserve either one of them.

My Nephews first deer and hunt, 177lbs.

My wife's first Buck and hunting since she was a little girl 2010, then she shot this one last year. She's not allowed to hunt with us any more.

Those are some very nice mounts, congrats to you and your wife and sons, I have yet to get a buck I deem worthy enough to get mounted but I am including a picture of my wifes first doe. A big pie-bald she took last year on opening day with her mossberg 500 20 gauge. The hide is currently out being professionally tanned and will find itself as a throw on the couch or hanging on the wall upon its return. I completely agree that it is wonderful when you find someone that shares your interest and I cant wait until I can also share with my boys, they are all less than six years old right now but believe me when I say I am counting the years. Great pics and look forward to seeing somemore!!

Wyoredman, the New Zealand Red Stag is awesome! That's my dream hunt that will never happen. I'm SO jealous.

Warbirdlover, We purchased the NZ hunt at our local Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet (the beer helped us in the bidding!). The hunt was actually very affordable. I think almost anyone can do a hunt like that if they really want to. If you are interested in the specifics, PM me and I will give yout the costs and some contacts.

P.S. These whitetail mounts are awsome! I really need the chance at one of those nice bucks! I am in awe!

Rembrandt - I am truly entertained by the deer with red eyes and tusks... What breed is that?

Awesome pics all around, and I hope to be able to add my own this deer season!

I love those, but an animal that I'm absolutely itching to get is a fox. I've gotten a couple coyotes, but I'm dying for a fox. The last time I saw one I was trying to figure out what was wrong with an airgun that belongs to my friend's dad, which wasn't shooting, when I saw a red fox come out of the corn about 75 yards away. Closest gun I could reach when I snuck back inside was a .22, said heck might as well, by the time I got back outside he was gone. The saying "you never see the same fox twice" seems to stick around to haunt me. One of my friend's uncles got the grand slam(3 is grand slam? Lol, fox, coyote, and mountain lion) of Texas predators in ONE DAY, and I totally envy it. I believe he actually had that picture published in some magazine. Anyways, that's my hunt right now! Thanks for the appreciation, get our there and get you some!

Fox make some wonderful mounts, had this one done stalking a ringneck pheasant in snow. Make sure you get one with their pelts in prime condition and color.

I like to look at mounts but is rather shoot does or spikes. They taste better and mounts are so expensive. I'd rather buy more reloading components. Y'all keep those mounts and I'll keep my freezer full.
