I got mine around 1980, and unless they've changed the design since, the small drum for pistol has a 1/2" bore and is blued steel, while the large one for rifle has an 11/16" bore and has some kind of white metal plating on it. The easy way to tell on mine that that the large cavity plunger has to be installed through the powder hopper because it's too wide to come out through the retaining nut threads. The smaller one can be inserted or removed from the outside with no problem.
