"Not even CLOSE to being true"
Can you say BOLOGNA?

Test Results:
After 4 days: "Water - Dead. I could not hear it. No trace of smoke visible inside case."
After 5 days: "Water - Dead. I could not hear it. No trace of smoke visible inside case."

Conclusion:
"Water wins, for WLR primers, but it still took 3 days, 4 to completely deactivate."

Looks pretty close to the truth to me.
Wonder why mine all worked after a thorough dousing, course mine didn't soak for days, only a few hours, but they still went bang.

He said it took a minimum of four days underwater.

The time did vary ... depending on brand and variety.

so basicaly, it sounds to me like the water/oil is not "deactivating" the primers, but rather is simply dissolving it. So a splash with water/oil and let it dry would do nothing, but allow it to soak in a case full of water/oil, and the primer compound will dissolve into the liquid... no primer compound, no bang...

After it dries out it may be just as potent as it started.
