Mako Foreend side rail removal?

Well everythings been on and I have been contemplating weather to take off the side rails to lose a 2oz. Just found out the nuts in the back arent freaking stable and fell backwards. Extremely mad, called mako and apparently no technicians for a couple days....... Should I just take the gun apart and see if that will work?
