I believe that Tyne Daly used a Colt Diamondback .38 2 1/2" in the Enforcer, not a Python. Another good movie for Diamondback .38 fans is Brannigan, starring John Wayne, and that little 4" D-Frame Colt looks pretty small in The Duke's hand. That was back when a .38 was considered potent!

For years and years I was convinced she carried a S&W 2" 15......Now that I look at the screen shots, it looks to be a Diamondback, but only because it looks too small for a Python. Somebody will figure it out......Good question.....Zebulon

Not a movie but I've been watching the walking dead and absolutely love the revolver Rick the main character uses throughout the show. It's a Colt Python 6" barrel. Awesome show too btw

I must be a heathen because I really dislike how the Pythons look. That extra bit on the end of the barrel makes it look like a pop-gun.

Bad guy on the beach with a M-28, or 27 4" even uses a speed loader. Egads, I remember that and not the bazooms?

It looks like a Python to me. However if she has small hands and then the perspective that the camera can create......it might be a Diamondback. But for now I say it's a Python.

"City Heat Clint and Burt lots or revolvers"
Forgot totally about that movie! I loved the scene in the beginning of the movie where Eastwood's character keeps shooting the big, burly body guard with 158-gr. LRN .38 Specials, and the guy just keeps coming...

The Hills Have Eyes - 2006 remake. The father uses a Taurus Model 66. 6" .357 Magnum. It gets several close up shots during the movie.

I watch the walking dead just to see Ricks revolver... notice I didn't say Ricks Python
What a beautiful revolver. I know it's just a show but it's still a little strange to see a police officer carry a revolver these days.

Of course you have to mention the Dirty Harry Movies and Westerns, but I think a good more recent example, would be the movie Faster with Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson, He did a lot of damage with his Ruger Redhawk Alaskan.
Also although, it is not a movie I would give a special note to Rick Grimes of the Walking dead with his Colt Python. |

I think it was Colin Farrell, but if he it was a movie with Jodie Foster about some sort of bank job with a twist. Colin had a GP-100, always a wise choice.

Just saw a newly restored "Gun Crazy" on TCM. Very interesting movie. Lots of revolver play, circa 1950.
