In 48 Hours, Nolte has a .44 Mag 4" M29 taken from him by the Bad Guy. Nolte then retrieves his other gun from home, a .45 Colt Government 1911.

First off,.sorry for my horrible typing last night.

Chuck Norris did carry a 6" 629 in both Lone Wolf McQuaide and the earlier seasons of walker. I heard, not verifyied, that t was the same revolver both tikes and one he owned personally. He is a big gun collector and competative shooter for those who didnt know.

For anyone who remembers the "88 Magnum" from Johnny Dangourusly, I owe you a beer once, ONCE

Another little known or remembered gem from the 80s, City Heat. Clint Eastwood and Burt Rynolds have a wewrhouse gun fight with the gangster bad guys and keep one upping each other with guns they pull from trench coats. Its hilarious

Incorrect. Nolte was given the .45 from somebody at his precinct, and he put the gun into the same holster as his .44 had been in and it magically fit.

Blue Steel starring Jamie lee Curtis. Revolver **** in that one. Curtis has a model 10 and the killer uses a gorgeous model 29.

I'll second that Once Upon A Time in the West. Who knew Fonda could play a badass so well? Now that I think about it, Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday whiskey cup handy work in Tombstone was a good revolver scene.............

My favorite revolver scene from any movie is in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly when Tuco barges into the gun shop and starts disassembling the revolvers to make his own. Then goes out back to test it out and shoots the heads clean off the targets.

Dirty Harry is so far a head of the pack, it's pretty pointless to mention the running ups, even it's sequels.

That said, of recent times, I've developed a longing for a Colt Python after watching The Walking Dead on AMC.

For da wheelguns...

Any Dirty Harry flick particularly Magnum Force. While Clint is on the mind a nod to "Blood Work".

L.A. Confidential. A lot of well done work in that flick.

Way of the Gun. Excellent gun work throughout.

Point Blank with Lee Marvin. Folks have already mentioned a few good flicks from that time frame as well, The Killers, Bullitt.

A little earlier is the B noir flick "Gun Crazy" where the lonely and vulnerable gun collector/shooter falls hard for the trick shooter from the carnival sideshow.

The shootout at the end of Key Largo. Bogart, Bacall and Edward G. Robinson. While we're at it, pick up any of the Bogart detective flicks and you'll have fun.

Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas "Out of the Past".

The great Robert Ryan in "The Professionals"

The Untouchables

The Godfather for all that leads up to the restaurant scene where McClusky gets it.

I gotta ad the great Sterling Hayden in "The Killing" 1956.

Obviously any of the 4 Dirty Harry movies are good to check out. I liked the Super Redhawk in Faster (The Rock is best when he has few lines). Indiana Jones carries a S&W Model 1917 (as well as a Webley in the later movies). I noticed that in Looper (the movie sucks) there are a LOT of Magnum Research BFR's (Big F**king Revolver?). I liked the Pale Rider with his Colt Conversion. Oh yeah, the new Total Recall has a Rhino...
