Any experience with Friendswood bullets?

Hey all,

I purchased some bullets on 4-18-12, and was told by them that my order would ship by the next day (via express mail). Well, it's the 2nd and I haven't gotten them yet. Has anyone had good experience with them?

This is my last order of bullets to tie me over until I start casting.

Have you tried to contact them? When I ordered from another place they told me the same thing online. 3 weeks later I called and they said the ones I ordered would not be made for another 3 weeks. I told them I ordered the one I did because their web site claimed it was in stock. They then told me they could send out a similar one the next day so I said fine. They did ship the other one but not for close to a week later. So I will not be using them again. No it is not the same place you bought from but from what I have seen your story is common but I would call them.

I should have mentioned that I've left a message, and called daily with no answer. I was told that they were in stock and would ship the next day. I'm glad the boolit making equipment is on the way later this month.

I have placed two orders with Richard, the owner, and I was well pleased with both. He made and shipped them promptly. Both orders were for .380 ACP LRN and their uniformity was better than the .38 spl LSWBB from MAGNUS.

He operates from his house and I think he probably has a day job.

I also placed a order online. I received a e-mail from Richard saying they were processing my order and would take a week. I called and e-mailed them Friday, Monday, and Tuesday this week. Richard called me back about 11:30a on Tuesday stating my order would ship on Wednesday. Richard seemed to be a very nice guy and a pleasure to deal with, but a very busy guy also. He said he had a couple new employees starting soon to keep up with demand. He said since January there monthly rate of orders had tripled.

Wow, sweet. I didn't know I had a bullet caster just 10 minutes away from my house. I'm going to have to contact them to see if I can pickup an order to save on shipping.

Ok, I guess local pickup is a no-go.

As of January 15th 2010, Friendswood Bullet Company no longer allows local pickups from our shop in Friendswood, TX unless they are for quantities of 5000 rounds or more or you have picked up from us in the past. There are a number of gun stores that retail Friendsood Bullets in the Houston area. For small amounts of bullets, please support your local dealer - or we can mail them to you.

I've only ordered from Friendswood once but was satisfied with the service and the bullets are excellent.

i sent an order in on 4/9.

still don't have them and they don't answer the phone or return emails

they have my $130. I'm very dissatisfied!

Currently I have an order open with them. Order placed on 5/9 and no notice of shipment has been recieved yet. I did get an e-mail reply that they were just finishing up the .45 230s I had ordered. I don't think it's just Friendswood. All the lead mfrs seem to be experiencing long delivery time. Hope there isn't a lot of hoarding going on. Planning on ordering earlier than usual when supply gets down might help. In MHO, it will get worse.

Well, to add my input here....

I called them and left several messages with no callback. Three weeks later, I left one last message. Instead of a callback, I received a shipment label that the items were to be sent out the following day.

They ARE, however, quality bullets. I don't like dogging companies in our industry, but I received poor service. I may be the one out of a thousand orders that received it, but I am still alive.

To everyone on this thread. Please accept our sincerest apologies for anyone that had experienced delays in the past or a lack of returned calls. I accept full responsibilities for the previous delays. As one poster noted, I did hire new employees subsequently have our inventory issues corrected at this time. All items have inventory on the shelf. It has also been a personal goal of mine to make sure all calls are either answered immediately or returned the same day. Previously the calls were neglected due to a decisions to focus all efforts on getting inventory out as quickly as possible. Both issues have been resolved and it is our hope that you would give us a chance to prove it.
