Need a good smith
The loading lever retaining clip fell off of my Pietta 1860 again. Had my local smith tac weld it back on but I think welding is not his forte. Need a good smith with fairly rapid turn around time. Live in the Northeast but not essential.

Take a center punch and put a couple dings in the bottom of the latch and on the barrel in the dovetail. Clean the dovetail and latch real good with degreaser,ut a couple drops of super glue in the dovetail then tap the latch back in. Wipe off the excess super glue. Red Locktite works also.

I doesn't need t be welded, it needs to be silver soldered in place. It will then never move.
