Monthly Training Groups
At some time or another, you have probably visualized how you will respond in a self defense situation. If you are like most gun owners, you see yourself “rising to the occasion” and performing flawlessly. Flawless draw. Flawless sight alignment. Flawless trigger control.
However, this is not realistic. Threats never happen when or how you think they will. You will be frightened. You will experience tunnel vision. Your fine motor control will vanish and your brain will turn to mush. All that will remain is instinctive muscle memory. In other words, you won’t “rise” to the occasion. You will “sink” to the level of your training. If you only take a gun class now and then, you won’t have much muscle memory when you need it most. That’s why ITC has started setting up monthly training groups in Indiana and Ohio. By attending a regular monthly class, you can learn good techniques and practice them repeatedly. So, when the time comes, your muscle memory will take over and you will have the ability to defend yourself properly. Attending a monthly group can give you training similar to what we provide in our regular courses, but in a less intense and more frequent format. Each group session includes information and training in at least two topics, such as unarmed self defense, defensive knife, gun retention, gun disarms, etc. Group training sessions are friendly, informal, and fun. You can come or go whenever you like. We don’t teach anything fancy, so you are welcome regardless of your age, skill level, or physical condition. However, because our instructors must travel for these sessions, we require that on average a minimum of 20 people per session. Cost is just $50 per month per person in advance or $75 the week of the session. Columbus, OH Cleveland, OH Indianapolis, IN Innovative Tactical Concepts Training Schedule

YFA Tactical Handgun-Stage II will be offered on June 1-3, 2012 (FRI-SAT-SUN). The class is a follow on from the level I (Stage I Handgun) that is a prerequisite (or the equivalent) for taking Stage II. It begins with a full review and warm up of the Stage I course skills on the morning of Day 1, then progresses to more complex and demanding drills. See http://yfainc.com/courses.html#handgun2 . This encompasses a lot of shooting (800 rounds) for an Awerbuck course and provides an extensive preparation for defensive fighting and concealed carry. There will be NO NIGHT SHOOT in this course. YFA Tactical Rifle/Carbine will be offered on September 7-9, 2012 (FRI-SAT-SUN). This will be a full tutorial of the essentials for fighting rifle/carbine with handgun transitions (assuming you have taken a basic/Stage I handgun course). Massad Ayoob will conduct his two-day MAG-20 course at Rangemaster in Memphis on July 14-15, 2012. This is a twenty-hour classroom course, from 8am-6pm both days in our modern air conditioned classroom. This is the same class as the legal portion of the old LFI-I course. This class is suitable for anyone who carries a gun for self defense. Cost is $400.00. Call 901-370-5600 to register.
The following day, Monday, July 16, Tom Givens will offer an optional third day, all spent on the firing range. “Advanced Pistol Skills” is an intensive course designed to polish and hone your defensive shooting skills. Topics covered include rapid presentation from concealed carry; gunhandling techniques designed to work under stress; accurate fire at high speed; malfunction remedies; and more. You will fire 500 rounds during an exciting and challenging day of course work. Our range is air conditioned, so the July heat is moot. Cost is $200.00. Defensive Handgun I - Doswell, Va. Sunday, September 2, 2012
Defensive Handgun I is a structured live fire class designed to teach you the beginning shooting techniques needed to properly deploy your defensive handgun, while at the same time reinforcing safe gun handling skills. This is not a course for the novice gun owner, but rather for someone who carries a handgun on a regular basis and wants to learn & reinforce new skills beyond the basic fundamentals.
