Beretta NEOS Sights

In an earlier thread we Beretta NEOS users made the statement that they are great pistols but with absolutely dismal sights.

One gentleman did a great job of inserting some fiber optic rods in his sight blades.

I tried a bit of a different approach,,,
I bought some BrightSights paint for mine.

Anyways here's what my result was,,,
Pardon the bad photography.

I know this was sort of a sloppy job in sight painting,,,
But I went to the range with this barrel and did shoot much better.

I must admit I was a bit disappointed in the Ghost Glow portion of the paint set,,,
In my opinion I would have done just as well with the simple paint.

Anyways, I'm glad I tried this,,,
The Beretta NEOS is a great little target pistol,,,
Maybe someday they will smarten up and equip it with decent sights.

I like the look... I know I will have to do something with mine. Currently she wears a Holo sight, but its a little cumbersome to carry while hunting tree rats..

I took it out again yesterday,,,

Truly amazing the difference that even a semi-sloppy job has done,,,
It's like I can center the gun on target for the first time.

I ordered some .04 (1mm) acrylic rod. My biggest issue is the front sight is so wide. I cant see the target.

I almost bought the same kit for my S&W 469 but I went with some very bright green nail polish. The sights do look nice though, glad it worked for you.

How well does the ghost glow work? I have been thinking about getting just the green glow stuff from them and applying it on top of the nail polish. Does it glow well and how long does it glow once you turn the lights off?

Hello Nocturnus31,,,

The Bright Sight Paint was very "bright" on it's own merit,,,
I'm a bit disappointed in the Ghost Glow stuff,,,
But bear in mind it might be my fault.

The instructions said to mix the sight paint and ghost glow together,,,
The results I achieved were less than stellar.

It's possible I didn't get the mix correct.

I'm going to run some tests with various mixes,,,
Then see what the results are.

It's also possible I didn't get the ghost glow stirred well enough,,,
The bottles that I got from Midway had settled very badly,,,
I stirred them with a toothpick but maybe not enough.

I don't want to damn the product without further testing.

I'll make a new thread when I've worked on the process a bit more.
