Best Rifle Scope Under $200?
I am buying a new Savage 93 chambered in .22 wmr and am looking for a good quality scope under $200. Even cheaper than that if possible. I know this is may be unreasonable, but I like the idea of a mil-dot scope (although I can probably live without that if needed) and the illuminated reticle seems like it would come in handy since I do most of my hunting (as in 4/5 shots) at night. I also refuse to buy another scope without finger adjustable turrets or zero-reset function (too much of a pain) so I'd like a scope with that too. By the way, I'm hunting rabbits, squirrels, birds, raccoons, the occasional coyote and smaller-sized hogs (larger small-sized game I try to shoot within 75 yards at least). I'm looking for a 3-9, 3-12 or anything in that range with some of these features I listed above. I'm willing to listen and take suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I've been looking at this scope by the way and haven't seen anything negative on it, but I hear people aren't too crazy about the brand.
http://www.opticsplanet.net/barska-3...fle-scope.html And I was pretty much set on this one a few weeks back because of its features, but I finally found a few customer reviews that did not like it at all. Anyways, let's see what you guys think. http://www.bsaoptics.com/catseye-sco...?productID=330 |

IMHO, you might want to stay away from the cheap brands ... this is my recommendation for your criteria ...
Bushnell Elite 3200 mil-dot, target turrets, repeatable return to zero ... on sale at 199.99 talk about squeaking in under the limit!http://www.midwayusa.com/product/950...-reticle-matte Saands |

Hands down Primary Arms, have one on my AR and love it. The gun fell off the table and landed on the scope, no problem and held 0

Foe, $200 or less, I have had great success with Bushnell. Their Banner series are very clear, bright scopes that hold their zero very well.
I'd stay away from Tasco, Simmons and the like.

Mueller Optics is in this category, and seems to be a fair range of products, given the limits imposed by this price point. I like mine, but it is a compromise.

I have been pleased with my Nikons for use on my .22 rifles. In particular, the glass is nice and clear compared to BSA, Barska, and other lower end brands.

You may want to consider Redfield. I have Redfield scopes on both of my hunting rifles. Their new Revenge line is $159 for a 4-plex reticle, and $179 for the new Accu-Range Hunter reticle at MidwayUSA. It has Pop-up resettable 1/4MOA windage and elevation adjustments. Oh, and did I mention that Redfield is owned by Leupold? These scopes are built in the Leupold Beverton OR plant, and carry the full Leupold lifetime warranty.
