My thumbs are killing me and I am glad I have a drill press. I sized, primmer pocket cleaned, trimmed, chamfered and deburred 200 38 Spl Win cases for some 125g JSP rounds I plan to load tomorrow afternoon after shooting same load in the morning.

Nothing! Unloaded a few and will load a few after I prep the cases and check my notes.

Been out for a few month hiatus, and sat down at the bench tonight to bell some case mouths of some primed .357 cases. I got an order of MBC 158gr SWC's and and looking to get some loaded rounds of my go-to ammo back in stock. I got a late start, and did what I could before I was too tired.

Dummy rounds to check out my new Kahr 380.
It cannot eject unfired 90 gr Gold Dot more than .963" OAL. No problem, because it will not feed them anyway. It has great case support........ the bane of hollow points feeding.

Loading a few 9mm with Red Dot to finish off the last of some shiny Blaser brass. Switching over to .380 and working up a Titegroup load with the 95 grain Magtech bullets that arrived yesterday from Midway. Just 5 test rounds at min powder and crono them.
I was sort of nervous about ordering Magtech but these bullets look good and weigh within a few tenths of 95. Right on .355 as well. Then it looks like some snow removal later on. |

New Toy!
A lady friend of ours gave me a very, very nice Colt Police Positive Special in 32-20 caliber. It belonged to her father. It has 95% of its original blue, no grip dings, and is really extremely nice. She has a .38 for protection and said she hoped I'd give the pistol a good home. The S/N shows it was made in 1925. Local gunsmiths say "Go for it!" so I have bought one box of 50 rounds of Hunting Shack ammo, but I've also bought 100 new Starline cases. I'll be loading up some mild loads of 115-grain lead flat-nose over Unique, and some more over HP-38 for comparison.
I'll be using a Lee hand press with the Breech-Lock system for quick die changes, Lee dies, and a Lee Perfect powder scale cross-checked with an electronic scale. Last edited by Steelburner; February 21, 2013 at 04:25 PM. Reason: Poor English, bad spelling (carelessness) |

100 rounds of 9mm using some Winchester 115 grain bullets I've had around for years. 140 rounds of 222 using the Sierra 50gr Blitz No 1340. 150 rounds of 22-250 using the Sierra 55gr SPT No 1365.
I've got 200 pieces of 22Jet brass that I intend to soon load for my model 53 using the Hornady 40 grainer 22Jet bullet. And I just found in my stash 500 pieces of Winchester brass in 223. That and the 1000 count of Hornady 55gr FMJs that Midway is shipping me from back-ordered status today should help me replenish my supply for my ARs. |

38specl Loads
Would any one care to help a person out? I just bought a box of 500 in .358 Speer SWC HP(L) 158 grain, To Load 38 specl and I'm having no luck in getting any accuracy out of AA#2 powder at 50 yrds, Would some of the re-loaders have the accurate Load Data to save time and Bullets or a new powder that works? Thanks for your time!

Since the panic, I've been reloading for good old 9MM. I used to buy this caliber in bulk, but since that has become relatively unavailable or too expensive, I make it. I hope my components hold out until I can get more at relatively reasonable prices.
