FYI, my big 5 in colorado put 91/38s on sale for $89

Go check out your local store and see if you can pick up a solid, cheap C&R shooter.

I few years ago, I got a great M44 for 110. I love the Big 5.....

big 5

I bought a Yugo M24/47 mauser from them 7 years ago for $129. bucks.
There was so much cosmo in it, you could barely see through the barrel.
So I bought it, stock was crap so I put it in a Boyd's, with a Timney trigger,
Timney safety, drilled & tapped. It shoots 1-1/4" @ 100 yards, that's a 60+ year old battle rifle!! Big 5 is awesome !!

You do mean the run-of-the mill 91/30...and not the M91/38 Carbine, right?

Every week Big 5 puts a milsurp on sale. Sometimes it's a Mosin, sometimes an M1, sometimes a Mauser. A few years back I bought a Steyr Mannlicher from them for $100.

Yep, my mistake. Big 5 has the luxury-size rifle on sale.
