1903A3 buttplate.

where can i find an original GI buttplate? i was givin my grandpa's old 1903A3 and it is missing a buttplate. this it the only thing missing from this rifle.

I have a contact for you, if you run into a blank wall. These should be fairly common and you will want to get one that matches the manufacturer of your piece. ....

There is normally 30 or more 03 butt plates listed on evil bay. There are several designs and prices run 20-50 bucks, screws are extra.

The 03A3 would be a Remington or Smith Corona. Remington plates are marked "R". SC are unmarked and ID'ed by the checker pattern.

Gunbroker well have several listed also.
