based on the fact some repub party officials in a certain county were filling in information for the voter. This could result in as many as 5,000 votes elimated, ALL for Bush. This particular contest appears it may have some merit and a head of steam (apparently, they WERE filling in stuff for the voters - not sure whether it will result in invalidation). If successful, this will mean a definite Gore victory. So the contests are for real, folks - it's not over yet.

This is a technicality.

Didn't the FLA Supreme Court say that the "will of the people" was the most important thing?

Didn't algore say that "Every vote should be counted?"

<sarcasm>Surely they wouldn't let a little technicality like that disqualify an *intended* vote for Bush.</sarcasm>

There are people in the Bush camp who are very worried about this. It's hypocrisy as an art form, but if the FL Supreme Court were to rule on it as arbitrarily as they ruled on the recount deadline, Gore could win.

I sure hope that any veterans who voted for Gore are watching this now. In fact, _anybody_ who voted for Gore should be digusted with this.

what about the voting machine??!

I notice the incident about the voting machine found in irving slosbergs' car has gone unnoticed, except by me. That seems like a much more serious accusation.

I put a thread out on this earlier. I hate to rain on the parade but thing is far from over. Yes, Bush did win but Democrats at all levels have no respect for the rule of law. Gore will not stop unless he is legally smitten.

The only real hope is if the Florida legislature stands tall and selects the electors.

Earlier, I was willing to accept whatever happened. At this juncture, I say that we need to shut this country down if Gore steals this. That's right, those of use who are stockbrokers, lawyers, doctors and entrepreneurs need to shut this economy down and demand that the rule of law be followed.

The Republicans only helped to fill out "applications" for overseas ballots, NOT actually helped WITH THE BALLOT being filled out..

I personally say "No Harm, No Foul"...

After all, didn`t the Democrats hand out cigarrettes to Bums and Homeless Street People in order to get them to cast a vote for GWHORE!!!?

It shouldn`t matter that the troops are mustered, ONLY THAT THEY ARE LEGAL TO VOTE!!!

JMHO,

Howard
