Best CCW holster for a full size 1911 IYHO.

What, in your opinion is the best concealment holster for the 1911? Shoulder, hip, lower back, anywhere.

For the classic 1911a1 .45acp sidearm, many "quiet professionals" like the top leathersmiths from these makers; Greg Kramer(horsehide), Mitch Rosen, Milt Sparks, Safariland SFS, Kirkpatrick Leather, Bulman Leather(which may be delayed due to back-orders), Mernickle, Alessi, Galco(Miami Classic II shoulder rig), Aker Comfort Flex shoulder holster, Ted Blocker LFI/IWB holster.
To my understanding, DeSantis marketed a HRT concealment holster for the FBI's elite HRT(Hostage Rescue Team). The HRT uses 1911a1 series .45acp pistols. I think they use Springfield-Armory models but they may have changed contracts/vendors.
If you have the time & $$$, a Kramer horsehide or Milt Sparks belt holster may be the "best" choice IMO.
For a duty or concealed carry 1911a1 .45acp, I'd look at a mid ride holster with a metal band, sight track, unlined, nylon or strong thread, and maybe a body-sweat shield.

They're very similiar to the Crossbreed Supertuck, Galco KingTuk, etc., but they're cheaper, and Tommy's a really nice guy to deal with.

I've used a lot of holsters w/ my 1911s over the decades and really like the Askins Avenger-type for their high and close-to-the-body ride. My favorite was one made by Bianchi that I can no longer find. The ones by Milt Sparks and Galco are also good.

I really like the Galco Fletch OWB holster. Keeps the gun high and tight and really makes concealment a breeze. The holster is also very well made.

When I carry a full-size 1911, it's in a Sam Andrews MacDaniel IWB.

I like these, Would you recommend the Horsehide or Cowhide?

Horsehide. I'm not a leather-smith, but my understanding is that it's thinner, stronger, and doesn't absorb sweat the way cowhide does. Because it's an IWB, I really wanted the thinner holster. That was worth the $10 extra for me. I've had one of his horsehide holsters for about a year now, and I'm really happy with it.

+1 for horsehide. It acts as a much better sweat barrier than cow leather. I carry my full-size 1911 in a horsehide Crossbreed Supertuck and even when wearing shorts and a Tshirt it disappears.

Check out STONER HOLSTERS. HE carries a 1911 all the time in one of the stretchy band type holsters. I have two of these, they are washable. CHECK OUT STONER HOLSTERS Video. I have NO CONNECTION TO STONER.
